Failing Classes:

What can you do if you're failing a class?

Below are some simple things that you can easily do if you are beginning to fail a class.

  • Extra Credit: Extra credit is a great way to help a failing grade. It requires a little more work, but it is wofail2.jpegrth not failing. Normally, extra credit is an extra assignment that you have to do on your own time.
  • Take extra classes. Some schools offer extra after school classes to help failing students. If your school does offer these classes, it is a great way to fix a failing grade.
  • Ask for help. If you don't get it now, chances are you won't understand it without help from a teacher. Asking for help isn't something to be embarrassed about-almost every student asks for help every now and again.
  • Have your friends help you. If they understand it, they probably will not mind helping you so that you don't fail. Just be sure you are getting help, and not just taking answers. Taking answers isn't helping you to understand anything, and could get you both into a lot of trouble.
  • Check online. If you can't do any extra credit within school, maybe there is something online to help you with your understanding of an assignment. There may even be some tips that could save you from failing a test, or studying tips to help you better understand something.
  • Consider a tutor. Needing a tutor is nothing to be embarrassed about. Tutors are there to help you, and everything between you and that tutor is confidential, so if you didn't want anyone to know, chances are they wouldn't.
  • Re-do failed assignments. Depending on the teacher's policy, most teachers don't want you to fail, and they might let re-do assignments that you failed. Just make sure you take care to work hard on the second chance-most teachers won't give you a third chance.
